Bukittinggi Town.

Most traveller stay longer in this town, it's coused of it's cool climate, beutiful surrounding area, and easy to go to some other intresting places from this town.

Bukittinggi mean Hilltown, it 's located about 910m above sea level, cool climate, and there are canyon by the town, the zoo and For De Kock (park), an a lot of home stay,losmen, and coffe house, there also a luxurious hotels, and their beutiful traditional market (three stages market, it est: Pasar Atas, Pasar Lereng, Pasar Bawah) .

Tabek Patah Panorama.

About 15km eastern from Bukittinggi, there is a beutiful Panoramic veiw, which is surronding by Sugar cane,Rice Field,Sinnamon Tree,Clove,Chilli plantation. To come here you may catch a minibus from AurKuning Bus Terminal, or you can join a daily tour, arrange by local tourist guide, visit some travel agent, or come to a Coffe Shop in bukittingi, and ask a guy for the tour,(some of the guides hanging around on some coffeshop (on Ayani Street Bukittingi. .

Some time you can see local people make traditional sugar(Brown Sugar) made of Sugar Cane, that the mill the sugar cane using Buffalo Power(moving in a circle to turn the machine).

Sei Tarab Coffe_Pounder.

Wen you arive on this village, you can smeel of good tast of coffe that are beinng pounded by a taditional Pounding System(The use Water power to turn a mill, an convert it to transversal movement to fpound the coffee bean).

You may talk to local people, and see some traditional house, and see some rice field being done by the farmer(most of the coffee product exported)

Batu Sangkar.

Old town (known as the Center of minangkabau Culture) there are some villages that still keep the Sanskrit stone.

On the Bull market some time you see the funny way to deal among the people there, if some one want to buy a bull, to people make a deal by put their hand under a SaRong and the use finger as Symbolic Value of maoney.

Belimbing Ancient village.

There are many traditinal house some of them more than 300 year old, and the family(young generation) still live in this house.

THis house is reserved by the goverment in order not to modify it. Some people give the donation to help this people look after it, and some traveller may stay there too.

Batang Ombilin (river).

ou may stop over here to get a fresh air, and down there you can see a strong water stream flow throough Singkarak lake.

Some farmer use a big bamboo wheel to rise(pump) up the water, for watering their rice field. An you may take a swimm there if the water not to strong .

Singkarak Lake.

This Crater Lake, with warm water. you may take a swim there.

If you like you may stay there, couse there some small hotel near by, and you can tast a food with the fresh fish that the get from the lake

Koto Baru.

It s about 10KM southern of Bukittinggi The have the market day, if you luccky you can watch th e Bullfight, tha is held by local people after the market finish. Different village has their own market day, so bull fight held in different place as wwell.

This Village located ofn the foot of Merapi Mountain (the active one), when look to the other side, you see Singgalang Montain, beutifull scenery.

Pandai Sikek.

This village located on Singgalng mountain. it famous for its hand weaving, and embroidery, and the man do wood carving.

You can by some of their product (the use golden thread) as souvenir. if you want to climb the mounting you may start from this village

Ngarai Sianok(canyon).

Ngarai Sianok with about 13KM long and 300M deep You can enjoy beutifull sightseeing from a Panorama park(bukitting).

You may walk down a long the canyon, some time you see some bats sleeping(in the day time) by hanging their clows to the trees.

Padang City

THe Capital Of Propinsi Sumatera Barat(West Sumatera Province).The climate quite hot, it close to the sea, there some beutiful beach, an d harbour holiday for such a resonable price (excludes airfare). Blah blah and more text.

You can Fly from Singapore to Padang, and if you want to stragiht to bukitting, it is 92KM a way from Bukittinggi. You may take A taxi, or A public Bus for that.

LembahAnai(Waterfall) .

On the way to Bukittingi , form padang ( 25KM from Bukittingi), it has beutiful Waterfall.

It is Located in Nature Reserved There you still can see the Rail ways that use Rail track in the middle of the rail.(to climb up). the climate is cool here.

Lembah Arau(Valley) Panorama.

About 42KM eastern Bukittingi.

There are some water fall , the water not so big, so you can have a bath, and a massage of the fallen water.It has saome nice park to walk as well.

Danau Maninjau (Lake).

Another Crater Lake. about 36KM western bukittinggi, you will pass 44 bends along the road to go down that lake.

There are some losmen, and hot spring, thsi lake is surrounding by hills, you may take a bike to ride a long the lake(80KM) text.

Ngalau Kamang (Cave).

About 7KM northern Bukittingi, It is very long cave you need a guide and torch to go trough inside the cave.

Unfortunately Some local people take the cementic thing to make aliving there.

Sungai Jernih (Forbidden Fish).

IT is about 12KM eastern Bukittingi, there are a pool by the mosque, that full of fish, No body dare to eat that fish.

If the fish swim out of the pool the people may it it, there is legend about the fish. the fish is tame, you may feed them by some crispy that you can get there around, and it has a park above that pool, for the young people enjoy their time.

Batang Palupuh (Raflesia Flower).

The big flower It bloeme once in a year .

It s a carnivore flower, it eat insect that was trap down in to its small pool, that invite the insect to come by spread the aroma from it.

Located in foot of Merapi Mountain , it s about 12KM from bukittinggi.

It has a beutiful beach names KATA Beach.ans you can see the local people order the monkey to pick an old Coconut
